EXCHANGE RATES ON 15.04.2004 IN SLRS

Average Rates at which the following currencies were quoted by Commercial Banks in Colombo for telegraphic transfers at 9.30 A.M.

The Approximate Exchange Rates of GULF Currencies based on previous day's Market Weighted Average Rate for the Us$ are as follow.

The  Average Weighted Prime Lending Rates (AWPLR) & the Lowest Prime Rate (LPR) during the week ended  08th Aprial, 2004 by all commercial banks were 09.13 percent and 07.75 per cent respectively.
The Average Weighted Deposit Rate (AWDR) of Commercial banks for the month of March, 2004 was 04.96 percent.
