Target Travel, a subsidiary of Ranfer Group launched a hot air balloon tour over Sigiriya last month. This was a great hit among foreigners, expatriates and the locals.

The one and a half hour tour commenced from near the Kandalama Lake and the organisers hope to market this internationally. The view from the balloon is a, once in a life experience and it is in demand according to the Promotions Manager, Target Travels, Bandula de Silva.

He said that they are planning to combine a weekend hotel package and a cultural tour with the Balloon ride. They also hope to spread it to other parts of the country as well.
