'Mobil' sailing regatta on Sunday Few are aware that the Mobil Cup sailing regatta is 70 years old. Having first been donated by the Mobil Oil Company way back n 1933, it has become an annual event in the sailing calendar of the Ceylon Motor Yacht Club (CMYC), Bolgoda. The winner last year was Jeremy Bolling. This year the regatta has drawn over 50 entries. There will be around 30 boats inclusive of GP-14, Enterprise and lasers with helm and crew in each boat competing which has through the years become an annual event. (RD) |
