The Army and Navy Commanders yesterday pledged that the Armed Forces will continue to uphold the truce with great patience as they have done in the past and will work with commitment towards having the LTTE at the negotiating table for forging a permanent and viable peace.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee monitoring the rising cost of living has decided to import sugar and dhal through the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment to reduce the prices of sugar and dhal in the local market.
