Two staffers excel in Accountancy

Ernst and Young staffers A. R. Ajward and Chaaminda Kumarasiri, both read for a BSc degree in Accountancy, set records at the final year examinations of the Sri Jayawardenapura University.

Ajward who obtained the highest overall aggregate in the BSc degree in Accountancy, holds the most number of A passes won by a student in that stream.

In recognition of his exceptional achievement, Ajward is tipped to be the winner of Gold Medal, this year awarded by the University.

Chaaminda, who achieved the highest aggregate at the final year examinations of the BSc in Accountancy, has a total of 20 A passes and he is to be the first recipient of the CIMA's prestigious Gold Medal awarded to the student with the highest final year aggregate in the accountancy stream and above B+ grades in the subjects of Management and Cost Accounting.
