Special Catholic media programs on Anti-Conversion Bill A special Catholic half hour program will be broadcast on the English service of the SLBC on July 25 at 8 p.m. on the proposed Anti-Concession Bill. The program will feature eminent members of the legal profession comprising retired Supreme Court Judge Justice Priyantha Perera, former President of the International and Sri Lanka Bar Association President's Counsel Desmond Fernando, criminal lawyer Neville Abeyratne and commercial lawyer Shamil Perera. They will be interviewed by Priyanthi Serevaratne on various aspects of the proposed Arti-Conversion Bill due to be tabled in Parliament. Meanwhile, the Supuwatha Catholic program will be telecast over Rupavahini on July 25 at 6.00 p.m. focusing on the Anti-Conversion Bill. There will be a special panel discussion featuring Rev. Fr. Ried Shelton Fernando, criminal lawyer Neville Abyratne and lawyer Godfrey Cooray. Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando will be the Moderator. |
