JHU will not oppose any Govt. Bills: Jeyaraj

The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) has pledged that they will not oppose any Bills placed before Parliament by the Government, Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle said.

Fernandopulle told the media yesterday the Government was in the process of discussing with the JHU to obtain their support to take the country forward.

"We had a series of discussions with the JHU monks on Wednesday and Thursday where they promised not to obstruct with the enactment of any Bill placed before Parliament. They also ensured that nothing would be done to interfere with the passing the budget," he said.
