Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar left for Thailand yesterday morning at the invitation of the Thai Government. Minister Kadirgamar will have official talks with his counterpart Dr. Surakiart Sathirathi. He will also call on Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The two Foreign Ministers will review bilateral relations and discuss ways and means of broadening and deepening areas of cooperation. Among other issues the Foreign Ministers will review progress of the activities undertaken under the Sri Lanka- Thailand Joint Commission as well as economic and trade relations between the two countries, a Foreign Ministry press release said yesterday. |
