Mahela's century keeps Lanka adrift

Sa'adi Thawfeeq reporting from Galle, Wednesday, Vice-captain Mahela Jayawardene held Sri Lanka's batting together with a resilient 12th Test century but could not prevent South Africa from coming back strongly towards the end of the first day to redress the balance in the first cricket Test played at the Galle International Stadium here today.
