It was a pleasant surprise, according to ministry sources for the Minister for he was unaware that his mother was going to hand over the milk for distribution. Meanwhile, through the ITN and the Lions Club, ITN Chairman Newton Gunaratna told the Daily News yesterday that 6,000 children who were affected by the drought were being presented with packs of milk food. The first ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. today.
