Lankan born American investor's dream comes true by Shirajiv Sirimane A Sri Lankan born American investor, Rukmal Fernando has invested 25 million US Dollars to set up an authorised Cisco (r) Training Centre in Sri Lanka. He said that he set up his business NuMatrix (Pvt) Limited in USA nearly 15 years ago and had been dreaming to invest in Sri Lanka. Fernando said that the Sri Lankan demand for qualified IT people is increasing rapidly. "Even their salary structure has increased mainly because of the high demand," he said. "In Sri Lanka we will be the learning Solutions Partner and a leading provider of e-learning solutions for business and technology skills which is a Cisco (r) authorised curriculum and provides its students with the highest quality training in the industry," he said. A similar course is not offered in Sri Lanka and to gain this qualification a person has to go to India or Europe. The certificate, which will be awarded, is internationally recognised and the cost will be less than half. NuMatrix has been providing high quality vendor authorised training and certification for the past three years on numerous technologies, and have strengthened their training portfolio to include Cisco(r) training. NuMatrix staff in Sri Lanka consists of two Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts (CCIE) which both being dual CCIEs and three more full time instructors. Sri Lanka authorised Cisco(r) courses ranging from ICND (CCNA), CCNP, voice training, security training, service provider training to CCIE lab preparation training will be offered.
