Morale boosting win for Lankans Shenley, England, Sunday, Ferveez Maharoof who was promoted in the batting order for the practice game on Sunday scored a fluent half century to bring a morale boosting win against NRCC XI at the Denis Compton Oval Shenley. Sri Lanka who batted first ended their allotted 45 over notching up a total of 261 for nine wickets. The other valuable contributions coming from the bats of Avishka Gunewardene 49, T. M. Dilshan 41 and Atapattu 36. Dilshan who suffered an injury earlier has recovered well and is in fine shape. NRCC XI in their innings were rattled up for 91 runs in just 34.1 overs with Nuwan Zoysa being the main wrecker with figures of 3 for five runs in a spell of 3 overs while Kaushal Lokuarachchi who sent down nine overs too came up with good results claiming 3 wickets for 25 runs.
