Profit taking at Bourse

The Colombo Bourse witnessed profit taking yesterday. The interest in hotel shares continued to dominate trading in the last few days with buying on selected bluechips. The All Share Index dipped to 1,443.65 points from 1,457.29 on Wednesday. The Milanka Price Index decreased to 2,132.30 points from 2,161.67 . The turnover for the day was Rs 226,634,560.

Stock Brokers said that the level of activities remains strong and fresh buying would take place soon after profit taking is over.

Domestic purchases were Rs 361,957,943 million and foreign purchases Rs 63,596,819 million.
