Austerity measures for conservation: CEB to supply 80% of requirement by 2010 by Shirajiv Sirimane The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) would supply 80 percent of the total
electricity requirement of the country in six years, said the Minister of
Power and Energy Susil Premajayantha. Speaking at a ceremony organised by
Small Hydro Power Generators last Friday he said that the CEB supplies 65
percent of power to the national grid. "This is not sufficient and
the CEB has taken measures to increase this to 80 per cent by 2010,"
he said. Other Stories |
