The administrative Staff of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) under the guidance and direction of the Chairman and the Management Committee visited Pahala Kirikkulama in the Anuradhapura district recently to distribute dry rations and plastic barrels to store water for the people in this impoverished village.

The member companies that donated in cash and kind for this humanitarian endeavour are Mercantile Leasing Ltd, Union Chemicals Lanka Ltd, Micro Vision Satellite Systems (Pvt) Ltd., N. Vaitilingam and Co. Ltd., DKW Plastic Industries, Hewas Graphic (Pvt) Ltd., Jana-Shri Financial Corporation Co. Ltd., SmithKline Beecham (Pvt) Ltd., DSI Samson Group, Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd., Chroma Inks (Pvt) Ltd., Gamma Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd and State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation. The project was co-ordinated by the Lions Clubs of Anuradhapura, Anuradhapura Metro and Lions Club of Colombo Somerset.

It is the intention of the Chairman and the members of the CNCI to adopt this village as a continual project of CNCI in order to better their lives.
