The LTTE stayed away from attending a meeting at the Sri Lanka
Monitoring Mission (SLMM) office in Vavuniya on Saturday, barely 24 hours
after it took an undertaking with the SLMM in Vavuniya that they would not
hoist LTTE flags but would sit together with SLMM and Security Forces on a
daily basis to discuss day-to-day matters, the Operational Headquarters
