SB's release: Not desirable to influence judiciary, says Mahanayake Thera

The Most Ven. Thibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera of the Malwatte Maha Vihara Chapter who declined to sign a petition requesting former MP S. B. Dissanayake be released, presented by a team of Buddhist priests, said it was not desirable to make such an influence to the judiciary.

Mahanayake Theras to meet President, Opposition Leader to resolve ethnic issue

Thibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera of the Malwatte Mahavihara Chapter said yesterday that Mahanayake Theras of the Tri Nikayas will meet President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe soon to help the government and the opposition come to a consensus on the ethnic conflict.
