Shell Gas renews bulk LPG installation agreement with Unique Gas Shell Gas Lanka Ltd. (SGLL) renewed its agreement with Unique Gas Systems (Pvt) Limited, for the installation and maintenance of all bulk LPG installations, for a further two years. The agreement, in effect since 1998, is renewed biannually and gives Unique Gas exclusive rights to handle all new and existing bulk LPG installation for SGLL customers. Chairman/managing Director of Shell Gas Lanka Hassan Madani and Managing Director of Unique Gas Systems (Pvt) Limited M. Fuad Jain signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a recent ceremony at the Colombo Hilton. Madani said that Unique Gas' excellent track record had been a key reason for renewing the contract, as Unique Gas' Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards were in line with Shell's own stringent HSE requirements. Jain reiterated Unique Gas' commitment to safety when handling LPG and said that Unique Gas does not compromise on safety when addressing client requirements for bulk LPG. He said his company is proud of its safety record of not having lost any time due to accident or injury at their worksites during the past six years of operation. Members of the SGLL Management team, executives of Unique Gas and industry clients were present. |
