Dialog, Parkway Hospital in relief operations In its continuous effort to assist those who have been affected by the Tsunami in the country, Dialog has further ventured in to providing communication support to a team of doctors who arrived to facilitate urgent medical assistance. Dialog will provide mobile communication facilities, which include local and international voice, data and Internet through GPRS. GPRS connectivity and IDD will help them to seek advice and co-ordination from their Singapore base. The team of twenty-five specialists, doctors and nurses who are attached to Parkway Hospital (Pvt) Ltd, a leading hospital company in Singapore, will also operate from the medical centres set up by Dialog in the three Southern districts of Sri Lanka. They are mobilised and well equipped to provide any type of medical assistance including surgery to the affected people in the South. The program has been initiated by B.P. de Silva Company Ltd (Singapore), the renowned Jewellers in Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The team is in the country for a 12-day mission to conduct health camps in Galle, Hambantota and Matara districts. The team carries the most up-to-date surgical equipment and large stocks of medicine to aid those are in urgent medical attention in the region. |
