Cuban help for Lanka

The President of the Republic of Cuba on behalf of the Cuban Government and people, has sent a special flight carrying a medical team of 21 specialists in emergency, epidemiology and general medicine. They will arrive in Colombo today.

This group also include Cuban technicians to lead the application of rodenticide and biolarvicide donated by Cuban Government, very effective in eradicating malaria and dengue fever in other parts of the world.

The brigade is carrying six tons of medicine for the relief of the affected by the tidal wave.
