Herbert Poetschke joins MASS The Managing Director/CEO of MASS Logistics and Shipping, S. A. D. Sumanasiri known in the market as SADS, has recently taken over the controlling interests of the company. MASS Logistics and Shipping has been successful in bagging NCE awards in five consecutive years from its inception. The company has appointed Herbert W. Poetschke, a German national, as its Director - International Affairs. Poetschke has more than 40 years of Shipping Experience having been the Owners Representative for Hansa Line in Sri Lanka and then for Hapag Lloyd and lastly for the DSR-Senator Lines - Germany. Poetschke is having his own worldwide Shipping and Freight Forwarding network being operated from Dubai and the headquarters and regional operation centres in different parts in India under the name "Hansa Translift Shipping". Another milestone in the company's short history of seven years, where MASS is lead from the front by experienced professionals, who are veterans in the trade and have done well to carry on the good work in maintaining the concept they introduced to the market - "Outsourcing in Shipping". MASS has also entered into a joint venture with Green Globe International (Pvt) Ltd., an international trading house and intends to develop trading activities in many areas. S. A. D. Sumanasiri is also the Chairman of the Sri Lanka. Handicrafts Board. With Poetschke joining MASS as its Director - International Affairs is making MASS a truly International Organisation with a professional outfit and understanding other cultures, making its presence global. |
