Bourse grows by 4%

The Bourse yesterday grew by 4% on a week on week basis though trading took a breather. LIOC shares continued to dominate the market contributing 40 % for the day's turnover. Market analysts said that there was more foreign interest compared to last week.

The unchanged interest rate has become a welcome factor for investors and the market will respond accordingly towards the outcome of the Paris Club on the freezing of debt owed by Sri Lanka.

"We feel the market will commence on a strong note when it opens for trading on Monday as the news will improve investor sentiment", they said.

Browns is offering special discounts to Sri Lankans to spend their leisure time at this flagship hotel which has the best and biggest beach frontage.

Browns Beach is an Aitken Spence hotel.
