UNP organising anti-Govt demo using bogus tsunami victims

THE Women's Empowerment and Social Welfare Ministry denied the news item and the editorial in the Lankadeepa newspaper stating that containers containing items donated by foreign countries to tsunami victims are now blocked at the Colombo harbour because the Women's Empowerment and Social Welfare Ministry does not have money to pay tax and the ministry is not interested in aid, a Ministry spokesman said. |
