proposed international airport here after late Prime Minister Rajiv
Gandhi, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation of the

India, US hit snags over Iran, arms to Pakistan
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's push
for closer ties with India hit potentially serious snags over a
pipeline from Iran and the possible sale of F-16s to Pakistan. On an
Asia tour, Rice also prodded Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf,
who took power in a 1999 bloodless military coup, to keep to a
schedule for elections in 2007.
