Sonia pledges to continue talks with Naxlites

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's push for closer ties with India hit potentially serious snags over a pipeline from Iran and the possible sale of F-16s to Pakistan. On an Asia tour, Rice also prodded Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who took power in a 1999 bloodless military coup, to keep to a schedule for elections in 2007.
