social system - a system that relies on the rapacity of enterprise,
unbridled competition among unequals with unchecked asymmetries against

How Ignorance sparks destruction
THE wonderfully-carved sculptures that stood for 2000 years undisturbed
and were known to the world as the Bhamiyan Buddha statues, stand no
more in the valley or in the mountains of Afghanistan. The hundred and
fifty feet Buddha statues on the cliff of the Bhamiyan city mountain for
2000 years are evidence of the rich civilisation of the Afghan people.
