Sri Lanka company bags prize for best iced tea in the world

Walters Bay, the North American arm of Bogawantalawa tea plantations bagged the covetous first place in the most watched event of the largest Tea show- the best commercially brewed black iced tea contest at the World Tea Expo held at the Las Vegas Hilton, last week. The Expo was held at the hotel in the capital city of Las Vegas in Nevada.

Maliban donates infant milk food for tsunami victims

Maliban in collaboration with the government of Sri Lanka has once again provided assistance to the children of tsunami survivors, by making a contribution of infant milk powder to the value of Rs. 20 million. The donation was handed over by Chairman Maliban Group of Companies, R. Samaraweera, to President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga at a ceremony held at the President’s House on March 18.
