Ismail Patel, Chairman and Founding Member of 'Friends of Al Aqsa', a non-profit making organisation based in England dedicated to defending the basic human rights of the Palestinians is due in Sri Lanka on a three-day visit beginning from March 31.

An organising committee headed by former Minister of Media, Imtiaz Bakeer Markar and the present joint President of the Sri Lankan-Palestine Solidarity Association has made arrangements for a public talk and a discussion with the Muslim Media Forum and the Free Media Movement by Patel, and a visit by him to Jamiah Naleemiah in Beruwela as well.

Ismail Patel is also expected to call on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse and several other personalities in the country during the course of his visit.

Patel will deliver a public lecture on Palestine Liberation Struggle and the International Community on March 31 at 5.30 pm at All Ceylon YMMA auditorium Dematagoda Road, Colombo 10, organised by All Ceylon Union of Muslim League Youth Fronts.
