UK based Fielding Group invests in Hemas

THE Hemas Group sold a majority its shares in Hemas Garments (Pte) Ltd, the apparel arm of the Hemas Group, to Monitane Holdings Ltd, the parent company of The Fielding Group. The venture is expected to provide the company with a more apparel focused parent and add more value to the company's customers.

Lankan tea promo at Polish Fair

THE Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB) will organise Sri Lanka's participation for the first time at the "International Food and Drink (IFE) -Poland 2005 trade fair to promote the Ceylon tea brands as a high quality product in Poland from April 19 to 21 in 2005. Three major local tea exporters will display their brands at the booth.

Chinese actress to promote Lankan tourism market

XU JINGLEI, Chinese actress and director/producer, has been invited to Sri Lanka to promote the country to the expanding Chinese tourism market. Chairman Sri Lanka Tourist Board, Udaya Nanayakkara said they are expecting the highest ever Chinese tourist arrivals this year.
