New global plan to fight Malaria
The World Bank recently marked Africa Malaria Day
with the launch of a new global approach to help developing
countries make faster progress in their fight against Malaria. An
ancient killer throughout the centuries, Malaria still kills more
than a million people each year, mostly children under the age of
five, causes millions more to become sick, and blunts economic
growth in the most affected countries.
