Pakistan in easy 76-run win

ABU DHABI, Monday, Younis Khan and Shoaib Malik led the way with the bat, before Rao Iftikhar Anjum nipped out three of the Sri Lankan Masters' top order to facilitate a comfortable 76-run victory for Pakistan Masters in the second match of the triangular for tsunami relief at Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Sri Lanka, who were comfortable 97-run winners over India in the opening match, could manage just 214 in pursuit of Pakistan's 290 for 9, being bowled out with 20 balls to spare despite an 80-run stand between Mahela Jayawardene (69) and Gayan Wijekoon (58) who ensured that some pride would be salvaged.

Rao got rid of both openers, Michael Vandort (10) and Marvan Atapattu (5), and also picked up Kumar Sangakkara cheaply as Sri Lanka lost their first six wickets for just 90. He finished up with 3 for 40.

For Pakistan, there were noteworthy contributions from all the frontline batsmen, but Shoaib Malik, recently reprimanded for throwing a Twenty20 game in domestic competition, showed his worth to the side with a composed 68, while Younis Khan, who will be captain for the first Test against the West Indies in Barbados next month, finished unbeaten on 71.
