Kalutara UC emerges first

KALUTARA Urban Council has been selected as the best Urban Council in Kalutara district in the competition conducted by the Ministry of Local Government while it has won the second place in the Western Province.

Dr. W.T.P. Ariyaratna, Kalutara UC Chairman said that in the evaluation of Collection of revenue tax, the development projects, and collection of garbage and keeping the city clean, the UC has placed first and second places.

He extended thanks to both ruling and opposition members and the officers including the minor employees for their devoted service.

Sitawakapura Urban Council has won the first place in the Western Province.
