President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga yesterday described as totally unjustified the action by the JVP to quit the Alliance Government when she had already given an undertaking to the Maha Sangha and all political parties that she would unravel the details of the Tsunami Relief Council on June 16.

SLFP to JVP: Reconsider your decision
 

The SLFP has requested the JVP to reconsider its decision to leave the UPFA on June 16 saying that the hopes and aspirations of the people would be shattered if the JVP left the Alliance at this juncture.
