Terrorist camps: Indian Govt. plans to launch combing operations

New Delhi, Friday (UNI) Terrorist-training camps are being organised in far-flung border areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts in Jammu region and the centre plans to shortly conduct "intensive combing" operations to flush out the militants after getting a complete report, Minister of State for Home, Sriprakash Jaiswal, said.

The Minister who returned here from a three-day tour of the state, said at a press conference that he had gathered reports after discussions with senior security and civil officials in Jammu that camps existed in the areas where militants were being trained.

"We plan to conduct intensive combing after we get a full report," he said but did not disclose when the combing operation would be conducted.

The Minister also did not have any information on the number of such camps, the number of terrorists being trained or whether they were getting support from Pakistan.
