Rebuilding Lanka project gathering pace


TAFREN Chief Mano Tittawella says that he is confident of rebuilding 80 per cent of the 75,000 housing units which were destroyed or damaged due to the tsunami, by December this year. "We are confident that 80 per cent of the destroyed houses outside and inside the buffer zone will be done by December. A lot of people thought that we won't be able to do anything. Come December, they will all be totally silent," Tittawella said in an interview with the Daily News.
