UNP will formulate national education policy - Attanayake

The UNP will formulate a national education policy which cannot be changed by successive Governments, said UNP Deputy Secretary and Kundasale Chief UNP Organiser, Tissa Attanayake.

He was addressing a meeting in Kandy organised by the National Education Employees' Association.

Attanayake asked how Presidential candidate Mahinda Rajapakse could fulfil the country's demands.

"It has been admitted that Hambantota is the poorest of all districts, but Rajapakse has not been able to provide a drop of water to quench the thirst of the people, " he said.
