Australian detained over Kadir killing
SYDNEY, (AFP) An Australian man has been detained in Colombo over the
assassination of former Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar, an
official said yesterday.
A spokesman for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and
Trade said officials had been informed of an Australian man's detention
over the murder last week.
"A 60-year-old Australian man who was residing in Colombo has been
detained in Colombo in relation to his alleged links to the LTTE and the
assassination of the former foreign minister," the spokesman told AFP. |
