Vote for Ranil to save country from disaster :Attanayake

Every one must vote for UNP Presidential candidate Ranil Wickremesinghe to save the country from possible disaster, said UNP Deputy Secretary General Tissa Attanayake.

Speaking at a meeting in Kundasale to make party activists' aware of the significance of the Presidential election, he appealed to UNP supporters to forget misunderstandings and vote for Wickremesinghe.

Attanayake said if Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse's Alliance was elected by any chance, the country would face a disastrous situation and the people would be forced to suffer more.

"But Wickremesinghe will definitely win the elections. Everyone should rally round him to ensure him a comfortable victory so that the country would prosper," he said.

There could be some differences of opinions and misunderstandings among party supporters.

They should forget the differences and work for the party, leadership, whose victory was definite, he said.
