LTTE meets TNA Parliamentarians today

The political wing of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is holding
a crucial meeting with The Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarians
today in Killinochchi to discuss the issues with regard to the next
week's Presidential poll, sources said.
The LTTE's political wing leader S.P. Thamilselvan along with other
senior members of the organisation will meet the 21 Tamil National
Alliance Parliamentarians at the Killinochchi Peace Secretariat at 11 am
today sources said.
The LTTE has already announced that it was not going to support any
of the candidates at the Presidential poll and has left it to the people
in the North and the East to vote for the candidates who ever they
preferred.
TNA Parliamentarians are expected to brief the LTTE about the
Presidential poll trend in the south to the LTTE's political leaders.The
future political agenda in the North and East and the post election
stance of the LTTE and the TNA would also be discussed extensively
sources said.
Since the campaigns kicked off the main contenders SLFP's Premier
Mahinda Rajapakse and the United National Party candidate Ranil
Wickremesinghe had a few rallies in the East and a visit to the High
Security Zone around the Palaly military base in the North.
