Pararajasingham's funeral today
 

LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran along with his intelligence chief Pottu Amman and the head of the political wing S.P. Thamilselvan paid their last respects to the remains of slain Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingam in Killinochchi at midnight on Tuesday.

Prabhakaran and his top brass arrived at the cultural hall in Killinochchi where the remains of Pararajasingam was lying.

A large number of gun totting LTTE cadres were placed around the Killinochchi cultural hall to provide security to the LTTE big wigs, sources said.

Prabhakaran after paying his respects to the remains of Pararajasingam bestowed LTTE's highest honour to Pararajasingam, sources said.

Pararajasingam's remains were brought to Kilinochchi from Vavuniya on Tuesday. They were taken to Mullaitivu yesterday.

The Ceylon Workers Congress leader Arumugam Thondaman, Upcountry People's Front leader S.Chandrasekaran, Western

Province People's Front leader Mano Ganeshan and several other TNA Parliamentarians also paid their last respects to Pararajasingam in Killinochchi, yesterday sources said.

The funeral will take place in Batticaloa today.
