Market maintains upward trend

THE market was up yesterday. The All Share Price Index (ASPI) was up by 14.99 points to 2199.71 points and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) was also up by 20.91 points to 2793.47 points.

The total equity turnover was Rs. 327.9 million for the day.

The net foreign outflows were Rs.36.3 million with foreign purchases registering Rs.34.6 millions and foreign sales registering Rs. 70.9 million during the course of the day.

The total market capitalization was Rs. 668.3 billion for the day which an increase of Rs. 4.63 billion.
