Envoy for Brazil
COLOMBO:Former Army Commander Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Shantha Kottegoda has
been appointed Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Brazil. He succeeds ex-Army
Chief Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Rohan Daluwatte.

Lecture
COLOMBO: An evening lecture organised by the Institute of supply &
Material Management (ISMM) will be held on February at 6.15 p.m. at the
ISMM auditorium, Colombo 07.
The lecture is on Cargo Insurance Aspects of International Trade will
be delivered by Udeni T.B. Kiridena, Assistant General Manager, Union
Assurance.

COLOMBO: The Lions Club of Kollupitiya will celebrate its 31st
Charter Anniversary at Capri, Colombo 3 on February 25. A special
souvenir published to mark this occasion will be released on this day.
The Souvenir includes messages from International 2nd Vice President,
Lion Mahendra Amarasuriya, District Governor 306 A1, Lion Lalith De
Silva, Vice District Governor Lion Shirley Perera and Club President
Lion M.K.J. Sampath Perera.

COLOMBO : Emerald Eve '06 a coffee morning organised by the Past
Pupils Association of Sangamitta College, Galle, Colombo Branch will be
held on February 26 at the Sasakawa Hall, Colombo 03.
The evening will be filled with entertainment and music and provide
an opportunity to interact with colleagues.

Fifth anniversary
HIKKADUWA: The Colombo Branch of the Old Pupils Association of Sri
Sumangala Central College, Hikkaduwa will celebrate its fifth
anniversary at Rock House Hall, Piliyandala on March 5.
The Colombo Branch was inaugurated in March 2001 with the initiative
of senior old boys like Prof. P.A. De Silva, Dr. G. Uswattarachchi,
President Councillor G.P. Mendis, Late Premadasa Gajamange, Kularathne
Gamage, Major (Retd) Deric De Silva and Sriyananda Waduge among others.
