17th Amendment - some comments
Some cynic had some years ago described the
constitution of Sri Lanka as a periodical due to frequent amendments
introduced. The 17th Amendment though was an amendment which was
hailed by one and all as a very welcome move as it was expected that
it would bring some sanity to the concept of good governance and if
not anything else do justice to the popular belief that 'justice
should not only be done but it must manifestly seen to have been
