Trinity on a fund raising campaign

RUGBY: Trinity College, Kandy who starred in Sri Lanka's very first schools rugby encounter back in 1906 announced plans to host a gala launch event at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo on March 1, this year to kick off an ambitious fund raising campaign with a target of Rs. 100 million to develop rugby to an international level.

The organisers announced last Thursday that the fund raising campaign, to be unveiled at the launch ceremony, features a Centenary Match between the two schools teams which played the first rugby match a hundred years ago, Kandy's Trinity and Kingswood Colleges, and a 36 hour Fun Run from Colombo to Kandy with each batch of boys who were at Trinity through the years, doing the running along with a host of others..... friends, well-wishers, parents, corporate advertisers among other.
