President launches rural industrial drive
The path has already been cleared for
industrialists to bring industries to the remote parts of the
country to build the national economy, President Mahinda Rajapakse
said yesterday. This will help develop the remote parts of the
country without confining to industries only to the Western
Province, President Rajapakse said.

SLT to reduce tariffs from March 20
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of
Sri Lanka has issued a determination to Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd. in
respect of CDMA tariffs and has also issued a direction with regard
to the tariffs for calls from SLT telephones to other fixed access
telephones.
