Rs.357m VAT fraud bared
The passports of a former senior officer attached
to the Inland Revenue Department and a leading businessman were
suspended yesterday by the Acting Colombo Fort Magistrate on an
application by the Criminal Investigation Department officials
probing a multi million rupee Value Added Tax fraud at the Inland
Revenue Department.
