Naval troops in the Northern seas arrested a
fishing trawler believed to be engaged in a clandestine LTTE
operation on Wednesday night in the sea off Point Pedro, a Navy
Spokesman told the Daily News yesterday.

area about 32 km northeast of Jaffna were compelled to open
retaliatory fire last afternoon at about 12.45 p.m. on fleeing LTTE

arrested five LTTE proxies involved in a spate of armed robberies of
