Moderate turnout at LG polls
YESTERDAY'S mini poll recorded a voter turnout of
around 55 per cent, making it one of the lowest attended elections in
Sri Lanka in recent times. The polls monitors and the Police Election
Secretariat rated the yesterday's poll was free of major incidents.
