THE arrest of Thomas Lubanga, a founder and
leader of the Union des Patriotes Congolais , on charges of
conscripting children in the current insurgency against the
government of the Democratic Republic of Congo subsequent to an
order of the International Criminal Court in the Hague, is reported
to have sent shock waves through LTTE sympathizers and front
organization.
