Awareness campaign in Jaffna and Chavakachcheri

COLOMBO: The Department of Law of the University of Jaffna and the UNDP Equal Access to Justice Project will co-host a series of events on access to justice themes from April 6.

The two days awareness programme will be held for Grama Sevaka Officials at the Chavakachcheri Divisional Secretariat Office, Kandy Road, Chavakachcheri on April 6 and 7 at 9.30 a.m. The two day programme will be followed by a seminar for the legal profession and law students.

It will be held at the Jaffna Public Library Auditorium, Jaffna town, on April 8 from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

The theme for the seminar is Emerging trends of Crime.

Attorney-at-law Kalinga Indatissa will deliver the keynote address.
