Ceylinco Life's Ran Daru Family Sawari sets new benchmark

PROMOTION: Ceylinco Life's 'Ran Daru Family Sawari' promotion concluded in Belihuloya last week, with events in the air, on land and on water.

The three-day extravaganza of outdoor adventure activities involving 50 families from all parts of Sri Lanka was organised by the company to promote child protection through insurance and was conducted under the banner of its popular children's insurance policy 'Ceylinco Ran Daru'.

Five families selected through a raffle draw were each treated to a helicopter tour of the hill country, while the others enjoyed boat rides at the finale of the event worked out at the Academy of Adventure at Belihuloya.

The 50 families were accommodated in individual tents at a special camp site and were provided with numerous opportunities to participate in outdoor competitions and group events such as adventure games, rafting, rock climbing, and campfires, a barbecue and entertainment programmes.

Modelled on the successful excursion to Pinnawala for 250 children organised by Ceylinco Life last year, the Ran Daru Family Sawari initially involved nearly 500,000 child applicants, who applied on behalf of their families through time tables distributed by the company.

Last year's 'Sawari' culminated with two children and their parents winning an all-expenses-paid trip to Sentosa in Singapore.
